Got it delivered so can't speak to atmosphere, but i gave 5 stars for service because they're packaging is so clever. It has the noodles separate from the broth so they don't get waterlogged! And the food is SO good. the spicy IS spicy! One of the best garlic cucumber salads I've had. They cucumbers weren't smashed, but it was still excellent and very flavorful. I could feel the burn on my tongue from Sizchuan pepper, but it wasn't overpowering.

This place hits the spot when you're looking for hot pot and you don't wanna wait in line for very long. We came for the fixed 5-item menu and it absolutely hit the spot. The quantity is just right, the service was prompt and the selection is decent. They even have a robot server to help get dishes to tables.

Lunch special is one of the best meal deals in Edmonton. When I last went it was 5 items for 20 bucks. Super filling, bums me out that years ago they used to do veggies in this cost as well. Overall really really filling for what your paying for. Notables to get , marbled beef, fried golden buns, vietnamese coffee. Selection is pretty good though and sauce dips have quite variety as well.

The quality of produce and meat here is really good. I feel like the sauces here could use some work. Compared to other hotpot places the sauces weren’t the best of quality. It is nice that it is open later then most in the area. Very good hot pot here overall. Otherwise just be aware it is in somewhat of a sketchy area being across from the Hope mission.

This is my go-to hot pot place that never disappoints. The southside location has its ups and downs and but Chinatown location is always consistently good. My hot pot experience at other restaurants haven’t always been all that pleasant where they offer low quality, tasteless, cardboard-like meat. But Chinatown Asian Express always serve fresh, good quality meat and veggies. You must try their homemade fish mesh - my fav.

Staff were nice and accommodating although they forgot to give us out some of our stuff. This place is one of the best hotpots I've ever been in the city. A little bit pricey but you get to eat all you can. Overall, great experience!
